Someone gave me a really easy way to make yogurt quite some time ago and I don't remember what community it was in or even who gave me the recipe. Anyway, I've done everything they said to do, but then I couldn't remember how long to let the yogurt sit to cure. I looked it up online and the recipes I'm finding seem to be all more complicated and are about how to cure your yogurt in the fridge.
Here's what I did:
- Poured milk in saucepan and heat until just before it begins to bubble, then remove from heat
- pour into mason jar
- let stand with cover over it until it is warm to the touch, but not uncomfortable to hold
- add spoonful of live culture yogurt and stir
- wrap in bubble wrap and a towel and place in a box out of the way
I'm not sure how long it needs to sit there, though. I don't want to take it out and check it because I read that messing with it causes the thickening process to take longer.
How long do I leave it in there?

I want to use it to attach a zipper to a bag I've just crocheted. As far as I can tell, I put the tape on the zipper and cloth for the zipper, and then I iron the hem tape. Is that right, or do I need to still sew everything as well? Or do I (quite possibly) have the wrong type of sewing tape? Current Mood:
